The 1.9 tdi is possibly the best engine VW has made as for the 2.5 it's hard to work on it does 200 miles less than a 1.9 to a tank of fuel (80 l),I chose the 1.9 104bhp 18 years ago still got it it's immaculate I'm a builder I've worked the van I've had a mass fly wheel.
